Here's the music video link to youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl2D7J_FL_U
There's a few main things I want to point out in the video. First, throughout the video there was a of sudden reducing speeds in the frame. There was many points when the performer was in the background while two other members of the band were in the middle ground or foreground. At times, the movement of the video would also speed up to certain points in the song where the audio itself would speed up. The twirling of the woman in the center of the clock shows a lot of this. Second, the hue or color concentration was fairly faded. The video looked like it was almost in black or white, but it is just close to the edge of being that way. On top of that everyone was mostly dressed in black which works for the kind of color that is barely shown. Everyone in the video was centered whenever a cut of the video was showing them, but it also follows the rule of thirds when three or two musicians were shown on the same frame. Lastly, this appears that 80% of this was shot on green screen to generate the clock, the glass and the floating obstacles that surrounds the group.
My ten photos for emotion. With these photos, I was attempting to aim for sad, lonely or depression, somewhere along those lines.

homework for jan 20th

Music Video- The first clear idea that comes to mind is a musician that wakes up in his bed with part of a musical instrument laying next to him or her. He gets up and follows a trial of clues to find another piece of the instrument. The actor keeps walking around a house or perhaps in the streets and keeps finding the pieces to put everything together. So towards the end of the song or video, he has everything he needs to play the instrument. In the final scene, he's playing along with the music. The idea is that he or she is confused and feel incomplete without musical performance.

Documentary Video- I am a environmentalist and I truly believe that it is import that everyone in this world recycles to preserve our environment of what we have left. If I was to create an eye opener, it would be about the landfill and how bad it is. I'm thinking that if we could get an opportunity to interview certain places that have information about the pollution that is going on today and what it may look like in the future, it could make a serious documentary. We could interview reps of the NRDC or local landfill facilities.

Narrative Video: I'm having a hard time thinking of an idea for narrative, but I'm proposing that we do a story of a private owned company. It could discuss how they manage to stay successful through the rough economy and how it started to begin with. It should be a company that is popular and most people that go their are satisfied with the service. I work at Goshen Floor Mart and it may have some history to it and they said they wouldn't mind if we did a project their. However, I'm guessing that the group may want to find a company that is local in Southbend and not super far away so the project can be done as quickly as possible.

About me

My name is Evan and I'm going for Integrated New Media as my degree. I'm taking it because I love art and hopefully Integrated New Media will be something I like. I'm taking a minor in sculpture because I love hands on work besides just computers. My favorite music artist is Aerosmith, Korn, Linkin Park, Muse, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, Tokio Hotel and Imagine Dragons. Some of my favorite TV shows are somewhat old school, but they never get old- Friends, That 70's Show, How I Met Your Mother, Archer, Two and a Half Men and Fringe. My goals are to be a graphic designer or video design in gaming and I also want to use graghic design to make sculptures.
